Introduction
In this project, we aim to study how the indoor environment (microclimate) affected by the sun movement, air temperature, radiant temperature, relative humidity, wind speed in respect to lighting and shading. We make criticize on the building design in term of thermal comfort with the reference of standard in UBBL, MS1525, and GBI. Finally proposing some design solution to overcome the defection to achieve human indoor thermal comfort.
HUMAN - SPACE - CLIMATE
SHADING
We try to understand which factors that affecting a microclimate and how these factor affect the microclimate; then only we conduct a series of data collection of general annual climate of the chosen space and use digital application to take the reading of indoor temperature, outdoor temperature and also windspeed. Next, we conduct a series of analyzing on the type of building, building location, wind rose of the area, and the degree of current building design provide shading function. We found that the indoor temperature is higher from 9a.m. - 11a.m. with penetration of solar radiation from south-east window of the space.
Finally, we propose a more efficient shading device and type of window glasses to avoid excessing solar radiation penetration in to the space; purposely to lower down the indoor temperature and achieve human thermal comfort.
LIGHTING
In lighting we also use digital application to take the reading from the chosen space at 9a.m., 12p.m., and 6p.m. in term of the illuminance (lux) in grid which allow us to know the density of luminous flux reaching the surface of each point. Afterward we analyze the movement of sunlight that affect the daylight illuminance of the space and also the illuminance provided by the artificial light.

Finally, we proposing a window shelve that will enable daylight reach deep into the space and enhance the illuminance in the space; meanwhile reduce the wastage of energy and cost. Besides we also propose a more efficient artificial lighting layout according to Permanent Supplementary of Artificial Lighting to achieve sustainability.
Reflection
In this module, I felt I was one step closer with architecture world. I was imparted with the knowledge of a new perspective into the understanding of architecture element to associate with. That is helpful for us to create a high quality and high efficiency architecture building in the future. It is clear to see that in this project, I can see my ability to analyze a space begin from data collection until I found and solve the defection of the space. I was glad to conduct this assignment as this bring me touch with the real life architecture world in the case study of "Lighting" and "Shading" as the object to study is an existing building. For me this is a challenging task for us as a freshman in real-life architecture, yet it felt much easier with the guidance of my tutor, Ar. Edwin who give his fully patience explaining to us the from the factor of the problem and also give a real life example that used to prevent or overcome such architecture building issues along the journey until the completion of this project. Also, I was much appreciate that I have a great teammate who always leading their helping hand when I was facing problem and have discuss and solve the problem we face together. This create a great memories of us when we be together sharing our happiness and woe in this project.
