Project 1:
Disabilities Experience Pavilion
In a group of three, this project tasked us to design a Pavilion for a selected group of disabled people. Dealing with the understanding of material poetics in relation to user experience, a study was carried out on the decided disabled group; their disables characteristic, spatial requirement, basic need or support to carry out daily life and the environment quality.
This is train us as a student to know and meet the need of environmental and social as well as make poetry with materials and spaces. Besides, develop awareness of environmental sustainability in architectural design and enhance the understanding on human scale, proportion, ergonomic and materiality
Workshop
Before me and my groupmate going into designing the structure, a simple workshop was assigned to us to get know on our target use, disabled group that we wanted to designed for.
Intellectual Disable, is our targeted group who definitely need a really need care in their daily. Therefore, a study was carried out to get known to their characteristic, their soft spot and also their needs on:-

EACH and EVERYONE
Each and Everyone, as named to bring the meaning of everyone are the same equally; we have the equal right to gain, learn, enjoy and even be loved. Everyone deserved what the we have given by the nature and the god.
Therefore, this Pavilion was set to allow our targeted disabled group (kids) to play and learn in the most relax condition as we believe it will be the most efficient learning. Simultaneously, interaction is allow between the kids, interact with parents and passengers. This encourage and enhance the abilities in every perspective that they failing on.
Reflection
In a minimal given time to produce a design maybe one of the approaches that allow student to quickly get the idea of the main element to learn. Apart from designing a Pavilion, this project for me is so much meaningful as this remind me as a future architect what should I really taken into consideration to ensure a great spatial quality was provided to the user. Target user, user needs, materiality, spatial experience and the also the effect to environment. In short, this project is mainly gaining me the aspect that I need some though and consider along a design journey from now onwards.
